Loch Lomond Faerie Trail
We have been meaning to visit the Loch Lomond Faerie Trail for AGES and finally managed to last week…. it did not disappoint!
If you have a little one who likes Fairies and magic then definitely check it out. It’s jam packed full of cute and quirky details the entire way around.
The trail is located in Luss, Loch Lomond. Park in the South Carpark (type Loch Lomond Arms into maps if you’re unsure - it’s next to it) We parked up and had lunch in the Loch Lomond Arms which was delicious! They even had a kids menu for little ones.
You can buy tickets at their silver trailer in the South car park - very close to the Loch Lomond Arms. They sell wings and wands and magic dust as well - we took our own though to keep costs down as much as possible! You get given a bag with a little magazine with the map and directions as well as a quiz you can do as you go around. There was also a little rubber bracelet which Rosa was very excited about!
The trail starts off very close to the car park and straight away starts with little houses and a plaque with a riddle on it. It’s very cute! The trail itself is a mile long and a lot of hills and bumps so I’d say it’s not suitable for prams or little legs that get tired easily. There’s plenty to see and do along the way though so never gets boring! We were amazed at the attention to detail even in the trees above your head! There is a wishing tree, fairy school, loads of fairy houses, speakers that play sound as you approach and loads of photo ops!
At the end of the trail there is even a place to give your old dummies to the fairies! The dummy fairy paid us a visit at home but this is another good way to donate your dummies…
The trail ends back at the car park but also gives you entry to a little farm where you can feed animals - we were delighted to see some lambs and baby goats!
All in all it was a lovely day out! Rosa has been talking about it non stop since we got home!
Have you been before? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
